Terms & Conditions
1.Use of the Bramley Baths membership card applies to services at Bramley Baths.
2.Refund of Bramley Baths membership will NOT be given for temporary non-use of facilities.
3. Off-peak gym times are Mondays to Fridays 9am – 3pm and all day Saturdays and Sundays.
4. Gym Inductions
a. Members must have completed an induction form and received a full induction to access Bramley Baths’ gym. A PARQ form must also be completed.
b. Inductions are included free of charge
5. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the correct PARQ form has been completed.
6. Failure to present the membership card may lead to refusal of entry or the normal charge being levied. A new membership card can be purchased from reception
7. Bramley Baths memberships do not include access to any privately run fitness sessions or any block-booking activity.
8. Memberships are payable in monthly instalments through our Ashbourne management system. You can cancel your membership by giving 30 day’s notice (this period may include one final payment). Some membership options are contracted, please check individual memberships upon sign up for more details. The contract is binding. Bramley Baths will only terminate a membership contract for the reasons below. A written request, accompanied by the appropriate evidence, must be sent to the Bramley Baths office.
• Death of member
• Long-term illness or injury
• Redundancy
• Emigration
9. Bramley Baths will consider suspending an annual membership should the member be unable to attend due to a prolonged period of ill health of two months or more. Their application must be validated by written confirmation from their doctor and their card returned to the Bramley Baths office. The suspended member should then give notice to the Bramley Baths office when they are ready to re-instate. A new card will then be issued with an extended expiry date covering the period of suspension.
10. Junior memberships are applicable from 12 years of age up to the member's 18th birthday. Members under 16 are subject to the following restrictions:
a. From 12-16 years of age, juniors can only use gyms in Junior Gym sessions.
11. Memberships can be amended if needed. Please ask at reception for more details
12. Membership upgrades
b. Adjustments to payments will be reflected in the next available direct debit instalment and members will be advised in writing of their revised monthly instalments.
13. If Bramley Baths are advised that a member's standing order instruction has been cancelled at their bank, Ashbourne management will act on behalf of Bramley Baths and Community Ltd and take appropriate action to recover the debt.
14. Prior to the end of a contract, members should write to the Bramley Baths office confirming that they either:
a. Wish to take out a new 12-month contracted membership
b. Wish to change to a monthly membership at the relevant rate
c. Do not wish to continue with a Bramley Baths membership
Should any notification not be received, the membership will continue on a flexible basis at the appropriate monthly rate until such time that the member notifies the Bramley Baths office of their intention.
General
1. All correspondence and returned cards must be sent to: Bramley Baths, Broad Lane, Bramley, LS13 3DF.
2. It is the responsibility of the member to inform the Bramley Baths office of any change to their personal details.
3. Membership fees may be increased at the discretion of Bramley Baths. Not less than 30 days written notice of any increase will be sent to the member.
4. Bramley Baths will endeavour to give prior notice of any alteration to or cancellation of activities or centre programmes but reserve the right to do so without prior notice.
5. Bramley Baths cannot be held responsible for any services or equipment not being available, for whatever reason.
6. Members participate in any exercise at their own risk.
7. Should the Bramley Baths membership card be lost, damaged or misplaced, there will be an administration charge of £2 to issue a replacement.
8. Where a maximum number applies, admittance to activities will be strictly on the basis of first-come first-served.
9. Bramley Baths accept no responsibility for loss or damage to the member's personal effects, or personal injury to the member whilst on Bramley Baths property, except in so far as such loss, damage or injury is, by law, incapable of exclusion.
10. Bramley Baths respect the rights of their customers and staff and will not tolerate violent, abusive or intimidating behaviour within their leisure centre or any abuse by telephone or in writing to any of their staff. Persons exhibiting unacceptable behaviour will be asked to leave the premises, prohibited from entering the premises further and have their membership terminated and may even be prosecuted. CCTV cameras are in operation.
11. Your personal data will be held in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998. We will retain your data for the length of your membership and for up to 2 years after that. Your information will be used by Bramley Baths to provide you with news and information relating to our services. You information will only be shared with third parties to communicate with you on behalf of Bramley Baths. For more information on this, please see our privacy policy
12. Bramley Baths reserve the right to refuse admission to products and services provided.
